US Bishops Request Urgent Action
The US Bishops have requested urgent action regarding health care reform legislation being prepared for debate by Congress. At our parish this coming weekend there will be an insert into the bulletin in regards to this urgent action along with a pulpit announcement and a special intention in the Prayer of the Faithful.

One Sad Puppy
Today is the feast of St. Francis of Assisi-- the traditional day on which animals are blessed. This year it fell on Sunday, so I was not able to make it over to the rectory after the 12pm Mass in time to bring Dixie over for the animal blessing. Here's Dixie watching the animal blessing from afar-- knowing that she was missing out on something-- even if she didn't know quite what. Don't worry though-- I blessed her this afternoon!
